NEW Transferability Information
-- If you were in the Armed Forces (Regular or Drilling Reserves) and have at least 90 days of active duty service on or after 11 Sep 01, you may be eligible for valuable educational assistance.
-- Post 9-11 benefits will pay for training received on or after 1 Aug 09.
-- Review the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) benefit comparison chart to determine if this is a good choice for you and your family:

  1. This is the most thorough information I have seen anywhere else !!

    My husband is enlisted, 15 years of service, obligated for 4 more. Obligation is currently on his page 13 and NSIPS. But how does he get his obliserv on his Soft EAOS when the career counselor does not have a clue? Our transfer has been denied a few times over his future service not on record.

    Also, when one extends for 4 additional years, should his Soft EAOS say 4 years from the Aug 1, 2009 date since Aug 1, 2009 was the effected date of the potential transfer?

    Lastly, when he does a short term extension, it does not obligate him to 4 more years with the same orders, correct? It is just for GI Bill purposes?
